Experience the white-tailed eagle up close from our professional photo hide at Smøla. The hide is lowered into the terrain to give photographers and nature enthusiasts a unique experience at eye level with the birds. With special glasses that allow you to observe without disturbing the wildlife, you get the opportunity to experience the white-tailed eagle up close in a natural environment.

The photo hide maintains a high standard of comfort with heating, ventilation, electricity, a toilet and specially adapted tripods. There is room for a maximum of three photographers at a time, and the distance to the birds varies from approximately 5–15 meters.

Smøla is known for one of Europe's densest populations of white-tailed eagles and offers fantastic conditions for nature photography all year round. Morning light, evening sun and winter atmosphere can all provide unique subjects.

The photo hide is available from October 1 to April 1. During the summer months, the area is used for grazing, and access to the shelter is therefore limited according to agreement with the landowner.
